Sous la lumière de Roger-Viollet

Exhibition at the Gare d’Austerlitz train station from June 25 to late September 2019

On the occasion of its 80th anniversary, the Roger-Viollet photo agency swamps the Gare d’Austerlitz train station with a selection of 80 photographs, mostly of its collections.
This exhibition “Sous la lumière de Roger-Viollet" (Under the light of Roger-Viollet) is a chance to experience the abundance and diversity of a 6 million photos collection.

You will explore various topics from fashion to circus, from seashores to the banks of the river Seine, from squares to roundabouts in Paris.
These themes are developed in a joyful and touching way thanks to the unique historical, societal and architectural richness of these collections.
Through their daily or cultural lives, their clothing style, their leisure or transports, all these anonymous faces remind us of long-gone eras and ephemeral traces passed to posterity.

In partnership with SNCF Gares & Connexions.
